Bouquet of Hope: One Stamp, Three Ways | Trinity Stamps!



Hello Friends and welcome back to this week’s One Stamp Three Ways Series with Trinity Stamps! I’m so happy you are here and hope to see you over at the Trinity Stamps Blog where I also post on Mondays. This week I selected the Bouquet of Hope Set & Matching Dies as my weekly inspiration. This set has an amazing focal image and the sweetest sentiments. I have three cards to share with you all inspired by Rainbows, Polka Dots and Fresh Picked Flowers. For quick reference, here are the Copic Colors I used for all the projects this week: RV06, R27, YR02, YR04, YR04, Y13, Y08, YG06, BG13, BG01, BG15, BG32, V12, V15.
For the first card, I focused on the girl holding the bouquet. When I first saw this image all I could think of was a bouquet of rainbow flowers and a polka dot skirt. Here’s how the card came together:
  1. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black & colored the flowers with Copics. To create the rainbow effect, I started with one color and colored about six different flowers around the bouquet and then the middle. I followed that same pattern with all colors until the bouquet was filled with color.
  2. Nuvo Simply White Crystal drops where added to the flower center for extra pop.  
  3. For the Polka Dot Skirt I did some paper piecing. I stamped the image on a piece of patterned paper, cut the image and then glued it over the skirt. You could do so many fun things with paper piecing and this skirt (like tulle underneath or a coordinating washi belt or bow. But I kept it simple for this card.
  4. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a strip of black card stock and used some foam adhesive to add some dimension. 




For the second card, my inspiration was the sentiment “If friends were flowers, I’d pick you”. I wanted to create bundles of freshly picked flowers. I die cut the flower bunches, stamped the images and then colored the flowers with Copics. I then wrapped twine around the stems to create a flower bouquet from the images. Then I assembled the bunches of flowers into a rainbow pattern, adhered them to the card with dimensional foam squares and added the sentiment with VersaFine Clair Ink. 



For the last card, I wanted to create an organic floral wreath with the little flower images in the set. Here’s how it all came together. 
  1. To create the wreath: I die cut a circle as a template and because I wanted an organic look I used a Zig brush marker to trace/draw three intertwined circles. 
  2. For the flowers, I die cut and then colored the images with Copics. I then assembled the flowers around the wreath with foam tape and glue. Then I adhered rainbow jewels in the empty spaces between the flowers. 
  3. For the sentiment, I stamped the words on a strip of white card stock. Cut a banner edge and then added some washi to the bottom of the banner. I adhered the banner and then added and adjusted the flowers around it. 
  4. When everything was in place, I added Simply White Nuvo Drops to the center of the flowers.
  5. With a little striped pattern paper in the background, I layered all the pieces together on the black card base.

Succulent Banner: One Stamp, Three Ways | Trinity Stamps


Hello, Friends! I had so much fun this week creating three different projects with the Succulent Banner Stamp from Trinity Stamps. Instead of all cards this week, I created a book lovers mailable set that includes a matching bookmark and bookplates.

To make the bookplates, I created a digital template that I printed on Avery Removable Label paper and then trimmed to size to create six 3x4 bookplates. To make the bookmark, I used an Avery Elle bookmark die. To keep it a matching set, I used all the same Copic colors throughout the projects: BG01, BG15, BG13, G00, G12, G43, V01, V04, V05.


For the third project, I created a watercolor card using Gansai watercolors and a white-embossed image on watercolor paper.

Hopeful Flowers: One Stamp, Three Ways | Trinity Stamps

Hello, Friends and Happy Monday!! Excited to share with you how I used the Trinity Stamps Hopeful Flowers and Matching Dies in three different ways. This is my second Trinity Stamps Designer post for the weekly series: One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily! Every Monday, I'll explore three different way to explore one of the Trinity Stamp Sets. I highly recommend bookmarking the Trinity Stamps blog so you don't miss all the inspiration from all the talented Design Team Members.   

To create the three cards, I kept with a similar Copic color scheme, integrated Kraft into the designs and had fun with embossing and vellum. I also paired this stamp with the “Bloom; Where you are Planted” sentiments from the Let Love Grow set. 
For the first two projects, I created two wreath cards using both the flower corner and bough images. 
Here’s how the first wreath card came together: 
  1. I die cut and then stamped three corner images. Then I Copic colored with Aquas and neutral grays. 
  2. I assembled the three corner images by adjusting and turning until I had a natural; organic wreath shape that I was happy with.
  3. Because I can never end a card without some extra pop; I added some jewels and Nuvo drops to the wreath, adhered the wreath image to a 4x4 layered & stacked base and added some skinny b/w washi. 
For the second wreath, I created a square “wreath” to frame the sentiment.
  1. I stamped four flower bough images on vellum, covered it with Wow, Super Fine Rich Gold embossing powder and carefully heat set the images.  
  2. I die cut the vellum embossed images and also four die cuts on white card stock. 
  3. Using teeny-tiny dots of Nuvo Glue, I adhered the vellum pieces to the white card stock die cuts. I love the look of vellum images on white card stock...it gives the images some extra dimension while creating a softness to the card. 
  4. I embossed the sentiment to Kraft Card Stock, assembled the Wreath Frame around the sentiment and added some jewels to the wreath for extra pop. 

 For the last project, I used the beautiful flowering can image as the focal point to create a CAS card.
  1. I stamped the image to a stitched rectangle.
  2. Copic colored with Aquas and natural grays and added some Warm Gray (W3) dots to bring in the Kraft color. 
  3. Added some jewels to the flowers, adhered the image with pop dots and assembled to an Aqua card base. 
So there you have it, three projects with the small but versatile Hopeful Flowers set (with a little help from a Let Love Grow Sentiment).

One Stamp Three Ways, Trinity Stamps Decorate-a-Cake Set

Hello, Friends! This is my first Designer Post for Trinity Stamps and it's the first of a series (One Stamp Set, Three Ways with Designer Emily) that you can catch every Monday Morning here at the Pops of Paper Blog and on the Trinity Stamps Blog!!

I'm sharing not one but three different projects using the Decorate-a-Cake stamp set and matching dies from Trinity Stamps.

The inspiration for the three cards came from all the celebration sentiments in this set. I knew I wanted to create three occasion cards to add to my stash; a Happy Birthday, Anniversary and Congratulations card.

For the first two cards, I wanted to focus on the cake. I love to bake so the cake image had my heart at first glance. I got totally "paper-crafty excited" when I realized that the cake image fit perfectly on the largest Lift the Flap die from Lawn Fawn---How fun is that! My daughter is showing how the interactive flap works in the photo below. I can't wait to sneak a gift card under these two cakes for a fun interactive card!
To start baking creating my cakes for the Lift a Cake Cards, I stamped & embossed the cake image on watercolor paper with white embossing powder. I then used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (Light Violet, Light Pink, Pink & Cobalt Blue) to create a watercolor effect on each of the cakes. I thought it also gave a nice gradient frosting look to the piping around the cake.
For the Happy Anniversary Card, I embossed the sentiment with WOW White Puff embossing powder on vellum to give it a "piped-frosted-writing" effect. Then I stamped and colored the little confetti images to create a frame around the cake.
For the Congratulations Cake, I made the frosting using Ranger Texture Paste, then gradient-stamped Congratulations & die cut using the matching dies. I love fussy cutting images but words are hard for me so the matching die is a game-changer. Then I decorated the cake with Birthday Cake Sprinkles and Candy Confetti Sprinkles embellishments. To finish the card I added some b/w washi tape for some extra pop.
For the third card, I put my cake-making apron away and thought it would be fun to take one of the smallest images (the candle) and make it a focal point on the card. I stamped four candles and then colored with Copics. I added some b/w polka dot washi, Rock Candy Confetti Mix and star embellishments and then stacked it a couple times with rectangle nesting dies and foam tape for a little dimensional pop.


And there you have it three (two interactive) different occasion cards with only one stamp set! Now I'm craving frosting so off to the kitchen for some baking time.

August Essentials Challenge | Beautiful Joy

I'm realizing I love a good card making challenge. I typically gravitate to color challenges, but the August Essentials Challenge was all about Alcohol Inks (which I never used before) so I thought I would give it a try. I splattered, smooshed and dabbed my way through this challenge and here are the results. 
How To Summary:
  1. I created some "patterned" paper by dropping, smearing and dabbing more Alcohol Inks on Yupo Paper. 
  2. Once I liked the pattern (going for that marbled-geode look), I used the Concertina Tag die and Modern Christmas die (which is retiring and on SALE!) to create the JOY, stars and holly from the "patterned" Yupo Paper. I also die cut the word beautiful from the Mondu Sakura die. 
  3. I created two cards by using both the letters and the negative die cut and assembled as shown in the photos below.
  4. I added some Washi to the base of the cards to help ground the pieces together but really because *I cannot* stop adding Washi to my card designs. The Washi was a fun find from Felicity Jane. 
  5. The cards were finished with a little pop of star and clear sequins.
