Trinity Stamps: One Stamp; Three Different Designs

Hello Friends! I’m sharing three cards using only one stamp set from the amazing new stamp company Trinity Stamps! When Taniesa asked me if I could use one Trinity Stamp to create three CAS style cards...I was super excited for the challenge. Who doesn’t love to get the most out of their stamp sets! To create the projects I used the Let Love Grow Stamp and Coordinating Dies and for additional pop Rock Candy & Fruity Pebbles Confetti.
The first card uses my favorite card shape; a circle that fits perfectly in a 5.75 square envelope. I stamped the beautiful & largest image from the Let Love Grow set several times; masking as I stamped.  I colored the images using several Copics from the BG, YG, V, W and N families. The best thing about the coordinating die set is that the large script words have dies! I die cut & stamped the Let Love Grow sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) Ink. This was my first time using this Ink and let me tell you it is the best black ink for sentiments; it leaves a crisp, bright impression every time. Just note that you can’t use it with Copics but it works great with watercolors. Here are few photos of the final card and some close-ups of the die cut sentiments and images.

On the second card, I challenged myself to only use the smaller images from the set. I had to use the “I’m a Succa for You” sentiment for an upcoming Anniversary; this sentiment just cracks me up. Here are some fun tidbits about this card: 1) To create the square around the sentiment; I used post-it note tape as a mask, stamped the images at the corners and then free-hand sketched the square. 2) A few of the images are stamped on vellum, silver embossed, colored with Copics and then adhered to a white die cut shape for a little pop. 3) All of the Copic coloring are little, tiny dots of color.

On the third card, I kept with the corner stamping, silver embossing and copic coloring theme and created a Birthday card. The Happy Birthday sentiment is the best size for both vertical and horizontal cards and I love the script and boldness that it brings to a design.

Because I couldn’t stop with just three ideas...as a bonus project, my daughter and I decided to test run the VersaMark Clair Ink with watercolors. Since it is school supply season, we used her new Crayola watercolors and I have admit we were pretty happy with the result….also included lots of Fruity Pebbles Confetti.

So there you have it. Three CAS cards +bonus cards using only one Stamp Set!

Color Throwdown Challenge: #502

Image from Color Throwdown: #ctd502
Hi Everyone! What a fin-tastic color challenge this week; it immediately took me to the ocean and was inspired to make a mermaid card. If you haven't seen this challenge or played along, here is the link. If you are visiting from the challenge, thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog!

The mermaid tail and shells are from the Essentials By Ellen Inner Mermaid Set. I embossed the mermaid tail with silver embossing powder and then colored with Copics. The shells are stamped in Bahama Blue and Paris Dusk Memento Ink. I used the following five Copic Colors: N1, B0000, B00, B12 & B16. I'm really excited about how the mermaid tail turned out; the silver embossing really helps it pop of the card.

I also stamped the background stripes with the Memento Inks and the image is from the Pattern Play set from the Essentials by Ellen Leading Lady series...this was the first time I played with this set and I can't wait to use it on more cards as background images.

Here's a close-up of the image elements.

Color Throwdown Challenge: #501

The Color Throwdown Challenge is a "new to me" Card Challenge. What I like about this challenge is you can use any product you like as long as you follow their color combinations for the week. I really enjoyed this challenge. It really took me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to use colors that I normally wouldn't design with. I'm really happy with the final result and the process.

All the stamp images are from a "new to me" company Pink Fresh Studio (I realize this company has been around for awhile but it is a new discovery for me...much like this Challenge). The stamp is called Escape the Ordinary.

If you are visiting from the Challenge, welcome and thank you for stopping by!

Here's my take on the Challenge using the City Lady from Brandi's Leading Lady Series. I wish I was this stylish and yes, I created my dream outfit that I would love to effortlessly wear as I drank my coffee and shopped for bags of fresh-cut flowers. The perfect black ankle pants and those shoes---where can I find those shoes?!
