Background Splash Card: Birthday!

Here’s a “tiny” tidbit...I love all those extra, coordinating small/tiny images on stamp sets. They are my go-to card making tool to create one of my favorite types of card designs that I like to call: Background Splash Cards. Throw in a sentiment and maybe some die cuts and a Background Splash Card is complete. The tiny/small images from the Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware by Julie Ebersole & Celebration Lady by Brandi Kincaid helped create two fun Birthday Cards to add to my stash.

Background Splash Card in 7 Fun Steps:
Step 1: Pick background splash theme: BIRTHDAY!
Step 2: Find tiny images: Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware  and Celebration Lady.
Step 3: Die cut Happy and stamp on a birthday sentiment.
Step 4: Randomly stamp "tiny" images on card front (I try to stamp at least three of the same image to the card in a triangular pattern— and if that doesn’t happen I just wing it and hope for the best).
Step 5: Color in images with random selection of Copics—for me that’s the best part. Add little dots and confetti for some POP!
Step 6: Add pattern paper to the back of the die cut image for more POP!
Step 7: Adhere card front to card base. Stand back and Smile 😀
